Yeast for Mead

We don't currently offer any yeasts specifically tailored for mead production. However, we have seen good results with yeasts in the Saison, Belgian Ale, and Kveik families. Note that all of these yeast categories have fairly high nitrogen requirements, so make sure to follow a staggered nutrient addition approach in the mead fermentation. 

Note that our yeasts are propagated in a medium containing barley malt, and therefore they are not gluten-free.
